  • Get Out and Do What You Can This Time of Year

The holiday season has always been about giving, but this year our community needs you more than ever. Millions of Texans are unemployed and need help. Families waiting in food lines and kids having no Christmas is something we call all help to prevent. As such, Biker Lawyer is donating 10% of all profits to local food banks this holiday season.

We ask you to join us in helping our fellow Texans. Food banks, toy drives, and other charities need our help. Whether it is time or a small donation, let’s extend a helping hand.

If you’re in the position to do so, consider taking part in some of the following charitable causes this holiday season.

Volunteer or Donate to Texas Food Banks

Food banks are the simplest and most direct way to help. To put food on the plates of a hungry family.

If you’d like to join us in supporting one or more of the 21 Texas food banks, you can volunteer for an event or give a charitable donation through one of their websites. The North Texas Food Bank has several events you can take part in.

The only way for them to continue meeting their needs is through volunteer efforts and donations by people like you.

The 27th Annual Toys for Tots Toy Run

In addition to struggling with putting food on the table, many families cannot put presents under a Christmas tree for their kids. Let’s pull together to see if we can help.

Toys for Tots is a charity run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that helps struggling parents give their children Christmas gifts. If you can help, visit their website. Bikers have always stepped up to help meet these needs, and you can do so by participating in any other following:

Toys for Tots Toy Run, a charity bike run held every year on the second Saturday in December. Admission is $10 or an unwrapped toy donation that goes directly to Toys for Tots. You can also take part in charity auctions and a raffle where you win a flat-screen TV. This year is the event’s 27th, and it begins in Walter Hall Park in League City and ends at The Hawg Stop Bar and Grill in Houston.

The Texas Toy Run Charity Toy Drive

The Texas Toy Run Charity Toy Drive lends a hand to MHMR and Metrocare Services of Dallas and Tarrant counties to provide mental health and intellectual and developmental disability services to the area.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s ride has been canceled. However, donations to MHMR can still be made at Maverick Harley-Davidson in Carrollton, and donations to Metrocare Services can be made at Longhorn Harley-Davidson in Grand Prairie.

Every Little Bit Helps

Fellow Texans need our help this holiday season. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused statewide unemployment to skyrocket and put countless families at risk of homelessness or starvation. The Biker Lawyer is doing their part to prevent this with a 10% food bank donation on all profits. If you’d like to keep a family from going hungry this Christmas, or you’d like to see to it that a child in need receives a Christmas gift, consider donating to one of these charities, or find a charity that speaks to you from this list and lend a helping hand to someone in need.
